Our client is a well-established industrial distribution company seeking a motivated Service Repair Technician to join their growing team in Youngsville, NC. This is a hands-on role designed for a technically skilled professional with a solid foundation in mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate brings a sharp troubleshooting mindset, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to deliver outstanding service to customers across the manufacturing sector.

Job Responsibilities -

- Conduct scheduled maintenance, preventive service, and hands-on repairs across a range of industrial hand tools, such as pneumatic, hydraulic pulse, battery-powered, and DC electric models.

- Diagnose equipment malfunctions through systematic evaluation, identifying root causes and developing corrective repair plans that bring tools back into alignment with manufacturer performance standards.

- Generate itemized repair estimates for customers, clearly outlining required components and associated labor costs to support informed decision-making.

- Self-manage daily workload and task priorities with a high degree of independence and a results-driven approach to meeting customer deadlines.

- Conduct on-site visits to customer facilities as needed to deliver field service support and tool inspections.

- Provide product training to customers on the proper use, care, and repair procedures for specific OEM tool lines.

- Maintain a safe and organized work environment by consistently following established safety protocols and industry best practices.

- Document service findings, repair records, and customer communications with accuracy and professionalism.



Job Requirements -

- At least 1 year of experience with maintenance and repair of mechanical and/or electrical equipment

- At least 1 year of relevant tool repair or technical maintenance experience is preferred; a combination of education and field experience will be considered.

- Hands-on familiarity with industrial hand tools - particularly pneumatic, hydraulic pulse, battery, or DC electric types - is strongly preferred.

- Working knowledge of torque and angle fastening principles is preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a customer-first mindset required

- High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree or certification from an accredited technical or vocational program is preferred.

- Ability to read and apply technical documentation including safety standards, service manuals, equipment breakdowns, and procedural guidelines.

- Valid driver's license required; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. on an occasional basis
