POSITION SUMMARY:
The service assistants/food runner/busser at NGE main responsibility is to focus on the “Guest Centric” service model of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. They are required to ensure guest food is made correctly, and in a delivered to the table in a timely manner. As well as maintaining a clean and stocked front of the house. A service assistant/food runner/busser is to reset tables in a speedy professional and effective manner as guest leaves the restaurant. They must also have full knowledge of the menu and our organization, excellent customer service abilities, and take care of their workspace and work tools provided to them by NGE “Fuzzy’s Taco Shop” Like all other positions at the restaurant they must comply with all company policies and guidelines.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Ø No previous experience is required
Ø Must have a current Food Handlers and TABC certification issued by the State of Texas
Ø Must have full knowledge of the food, beverage and dessert menu and be able to answer customer’s questions
Ø Must know the ingredients and methods of preparation of all items served at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
Ø Must have multi-tasking abilities
Ø Must have good attitude
Ø Must have a pleasant personality
Ø Able to work early mornings, afternoons, and weekends
Ø Must be a team player
Ø Must be bilingual (Spanish English)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Show up ready for work (clean and in full uniform) at the time schedule
· Maintain your personal appearance in accordance with restaurant grooming standards.
· Smile and be courteous to all guests
· Quickly and accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables
· Communication: Act as the point of contact between the kitchen and in front of house team members, ensuring smooth communication.
· Order Accuracy: Verify that each order is complete and accurate before it leaves the kitchen. This includes checking for special requests or dietary restrictions.
· Expediting: Organize and prioritize orders to ensure timely delivery to tables, coordinating with kitchen staff to manager the flow of dishes.
· Quality Control: Inspect dishes for presentation and quality, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s standards before serving.
· Safety Standards: Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards, such as proper temperature and hygiene.
· Remove dishes, trash and glassware from guest tables throughout the guest experience as needed
· After guests leave, sanitize and reset tables with appropriate tableware according to the allotted time specification according to Service Standards.
· Ensure bathrooms stay cleaned and stocked throughout shift
· Customer Interaction: Check in with customers to ensure their dining experience is satisfactory and address any additional requests.
· Cleanliness: Help maintain a clean dining environment by removing dirty dishes and utensils from guest tables
· Sanitize trays and help with dishes in back-of house and bar as time allows.
· Ensure a front of house atmosphere that aligns with Fuzzy’s Values and Purpose.
· Between the settings promptly clean chairs, and booths. Check the floor and clean as required
· Thank guests as they are leaving – Good people skills
· Be a team player; Help our fellow employees when possible
· Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
Other Functions:
Ø Wipe table bases
Ø Maintain service areas clean and stocked with supplies
Ø Delivery friendly and prompt service to all customers
Ø Work constantly with your waiter/waitress
Ø Make good use and maintain cleanliness of restaurant equipment and utensils
Ø Attend all scheduled meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
Ø Work in a high stress atmosphere
Ø Other side duties assigned by management

Education: You should ideally have a diploma / degree in the hospitality field
Experience: Maximum of one year of experience
