Sensing and Communications Scientist

We are looking for a driven researcher to join our specialized team. The role requires expertise in subsea innovation, leveraging state-of-the-art technology in fields such as acoustics, electronics, signal processing, and autonomous systems. Your contributions will support vital national security projects, providing you the opportunity to engage with leading experts and influence the research and engineering of advanced maritime systems. Responsibilities include designing intricate undersea acoustic systems, contributing to innovative maritime initiatives, and collaborating with diverse teams to meet ambitious technical goals. Execution of complex at-sea experiments further complements these tasks.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess an MS or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Ocean Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Physics. Prior experience is vital in supporting senior technical staff in creating state-of-the-art solutions, with a proven ability to lead intricate tasks. Strong communication with project leaders and clients is essential, alongside familiarity with acoustic communication systems and proficiency in fundamental physics and mathematics.

Preferred candidates possess experience in leading technical programs, with skills in program management, or have been involved with undersea operations for the US Navy. Familiarity with designing intricate undersea systems and experience in wireless or underwater communications systems development are highly regarded.
