We are hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager to drive delivery across complex, cross-functional platform initiatives. This role requires a hybrid leader who combines strong project management discipline with enough technical fluency to work effectively with platform engineering, enterprise architecture, security, and application teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps-driven environments, and a proven ability to independently manage execution, enforce accountability, and keep multiple stakeholders aligned.  This is a hybrid Senior Project Manager who:
  • Is technical enough to understand modern cloud delivery patterns
  • Is assertive enough to drive execution and enforce accountability
  • Is experienced enough to manage operational cadence without oversight

The right person for this role will balance technical awareness, delivery leadership, and operational ownership to ensure platform initiatives move forward efficiently and remain aligned across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Jira workflows – backlog ticket creation, refinement, updates, and backlog hygiene for platform team
  • Platform team rituals – preparing and running daily standups, platform office hours, and working sessions. Typical Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Identifying and escalating misalignments – proactively catching gaps between platform, EA, Infosec, and application teams while  escalating them to project leadership without waiting for our direction.
  • Weekly project connection meetings – running all recurring touchpoints with application teams to track progress, surface risks, and maintain alignment.
  • Operational delivery ownership – consolidating risks/issues, managing dependencies, and driving day-to-day execution with the platform team without requiring any handholding.
Expectations
In this role you will be responsible for fully owning the operational cadence of the platform program including:
  • Running standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Writing and updating user stories and tasks
  • Facilitating platform working sessions
  • Maintaining Jira statuses and workflows
  • Proactively chasing and consolidating status updates
Required Qualifications
  • Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional technology programs
  • Experience managing cloud or platform engineering initiatives
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices
  • Strong experience using Jira to manage Agile delivery workflows
  • Ability to work effectively across platform engineering, enterprise architecture, information security, and application teams
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability and push back when necessary
  • Comfortable operating independently in fast-moving, multi-project environments

This role requires more than a traditional project manager or Scrum Master. The right person will balance technical awareness, delivery leadership, and operational ownership to ensure platform initiatives move forward efficiently and remain aligned across teams.

Pay $70 - $80 / hour W2 Depending on Experience
