Job Details
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting close, consolidation, and compliance activities across multiple legal entities. This role requires experience within a publicly traded company and a strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Support the close process for multiple legal entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Assist with consolidated financial reporting and intercompany accounting
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and company accounting policies
Support external and internal audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, legal, and operational teams
Analyze complex transactions and provide technical accounting guidance as needed
Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Support SEC reporting activities (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q) as applicable
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior experience in a publicly traded company required
Experience working with multiple legal entities and complex organizational structures
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Background in financial services or a highly regulated industry
Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
