Job Details
Corporate & Income Tax
- Manage U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and reporting for a large, multi‑entity organization
- Oversee preparation and review of tax provisions, returns, and related filings
- Monitor changes in tax law and assess impacts to the company’s tax position and planning strategy
ASC 740 & Financial Reporting
- Lead and support income tax provision processes in accordance with ASC 740
- Partner with accounting and financial reporting teams on tax‑related disclosures
- Serve as a primary tax contact for external auditors
M&A & Transactional Tax
- Support tax structuring, due diligence, and integration for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Coordinate with external advisors on transaction‑related tax matters
- Assist with purchase accounting considerations and post‑acquisition tax integration
Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Treasury on tax planning initiatives
- Provide tax analysis and guidance to senior leadership on strategic initiatives
- Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA and/or MST strongly preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting and/or public‑company environments
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax and ASC 740
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions in complex organizations
- Energy, industrial, or asset‑intensive industry experience preferred
