Job Details

The Senior Tax Manager oversees all aspects of the company’s tax compliance and planning across approximately 25 entities.

This role ensures timely, accurate filings; minimizes financial and regulatory risk; and develops strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Manage monthly sales and use tax compliance using Avalara, including maintenance of customer exemption certificates via Avalara CertCapture
  • Prepare Voluntary Disclosure Agreement (VDA) processes for newly acquired entities.
  • Manage tax provisions and reconciliations
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and ensure compliance
  • Partner with external advisors on audits and complex issues
  • Develop tax strategies to optimize company position
  • Supervise and mentor 2 tax staff accountants, fostering development and performance.
  • Coordinate and project manage other tax processes such as Unclaimed property, VAT, and Income taxes.

  • Expertise in indirect taxes (sales and use) and VDA processes highly preferred
  • Experience in SaaS and/or payments industries strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Avalara, Sage Intacct,and other ERP/tax systems

Team & Collaboration
  • Works with Accounting, FP&A, and external advisors to ensure compliance and tax efficiency.
