Senior Systems Engineer – Projects Team
Location: Houston, TX (On-site)
Schedule: Full-time | On-site (Hybrid eligibility after 90 days)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Projects Team. This role is responsible for leading and executing complex IT infrastructure and cloud projects from planning through delivery, while serving as a technical advisor to both internal teams and clients. This is a hands-on, senior-level role ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, technical depth, and client-facing project work.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the design, architecture, and execution of IT projects from scope to completion
  • Deliver projects including:
    • Office 365 & SharePoint migrations (including tenant-to-tenant)
    • Azure cloud migrations
    • Active Directory migrations
    • Intune deployments
    • Server builds and upgrades
    • Network design, firewall, VPN, switch, and AP installations
  • Serve as a technical resource for project scoping and pre-sales discussions
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and fellow engineers
  • Install and configure network and server hardware (rack, stack, cable management)
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and provide client communication throughout projects
  • Travel to client sites as required (local/regional, occasional out-of-state)

What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience
  • Prior experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or IT consulting environment
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Azure (cloud migrations, Intune)
    • Office 365 & SharePoint
    • Server and network infrastructure
    • Active Directory migrations
  • Comfortable with both technical execution and client communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel to client locations as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have
  • Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or ITIL certifications
  • Experience with tools (ConnectWise, Kaseya, IT Glue, backup/security platforms)
  • IT audit or compliance experience
