We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This individual will be a key player in the financial management of our organization, contributing to our long-term business growth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
2. Assisting in the development and implementation of budgets and financial forecasts.
3. Preparing accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
4. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
5. Analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support.
6. Participating in the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
7. Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial procedures and systems.
8. Providing support for internal and external audits.
9. Assisting with tax preparation and filing.
10. Participating in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Staff Accountant role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Proven experience in budget planning, financial forecasting, and financial analysis.
6. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
