In this capacity, you will leverage GAAP principles to produce financial documents, evaluate financial performance, and provide management with precise fiscal insights. Your responsibilities will include overseeing crucial accounting procedures such as monthly closings, reconciliations, financial documentation, and variance analysis, while contributing to the enhancement of accounting systems and controls.

### Core Responsibilities
**Financial Documentation & Analysis**
- Gather and analyze financial data to develop general ledger postings and related records.
- Prepare and interpret balance sheets, income statements, and fiscal reports to convey current and future financial standings.
- Conduct variance, ratio, and statistical trend analyses, offering insights to top management.
- Create descriptive reports detailing financial outcomes and key trends.
**Month-End Closure & Accounting Tasks**
- Direct the end-of-month closure activities for multiple divisions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and analyses.
- Examine, identify, and rectify discrepancies in financial records, documents, and statements.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting guidelines.
**Cash Oversight & Reconciliations**
- Conduct meticulous reconciliation of cash accounts and intercompany loans.
- Coordinate bank reconciliation processes and manage ACH payments.
- Assess cash flow demands and determine financing needs for divisions.
**Process Development & System Enhancements**
- Innovate and refine accounting workflows, spotting avenues for automation and efficiency.
- Support in the setup, modification, and documentation of accounting systems and controls.
- Craft and update financial models and projections for contracts to assess pricing and profitability.
**Regulatory Adherence & Auditing**
- Review contracts, orders, and vouchers to ensure properly documented and compliant transactions.
- Assist in preparing federal, state, and local fiscal reports and tax returns.
- Offer recommendations on the accounting treatment of reserves, assets, and expenditures.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required).
- Over 4 years of accounting experience.
- At least 4 years of proficiency in GAAP.
- Preferable experience in month-end closures.
- Construction accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience in job costing is beneficial.
- Previous supervisory or leadership exposure is advantageous.
- CPA certification is a plus.
**Technical Skills**
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
