Job Overview
The organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) 4—Work Control to join their dynamic team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of work control programs, including work packages, tagging, and outage planning, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and technical requirements.
- Create and review standardized work procedures, lockout/tagout orders, and task instructions to optimize scheduled maintenance and outage activities for safety and efficiency.
- Act as the work control liaison during daily and weekly meetings, coordinating with site management and work crews to ensure clarity and adherence to operational plans.
- Conduct operational reviews of engineering solutions, ensuring the plant's design supports safe, reliable, and maintainable operations.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to the NRC, stakeholders, and potential clients, representing the organization’s compliance and operational excellence.
- Develop and update procedural documentation, supporting both construction and operational phases, in accordance with industry standards.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts by participating in design reviews and ensuring all operational activities meet or exceed safety and quality standards.
- Resolve complex operational challenges by applying professional judgment, leveraging industry best practices, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of full-time nuclear industry experience, with demonstrable expertise in work control, outage planning, or cycle planning per INPO AP-928 standards.
- Prior Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license or certification required; equivalent experience or licensing is highly desirable.
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred; alternatively, 5 years of applicable nuclear plant experience may suffice.
- Experience with outage management and execution, with a strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, NQA-1).
- Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
