Senior Property Accountant
We’re partnering with a well‑established and growing real estate organization to add a Senior Property Accountant to their accounting team. This is a hands‑on role with real ownership, visibility, and partnership across property management and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Own the monthly close for a portfolio of commercial and/or multifamily properties
- Prepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules
- Manage CAM, real estate taxes, and operating expense reconciliations
- Partner closely with property management on budgets, forecasts, and financial questions
- Assist with year‑end audit support and external reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Serve as a mentor and resource for junior accounting staff as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of property accounting experience (commercial, multifamily, or mixed portfolio)
- Strong understanding of Yardi, MRI, or similar property management systems
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable owning deadlines
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate across teams
