Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Lead the month-end close process, prepare monthly financial statements, and manage recurring journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and accruals.

Portfolio Management: Conduct full-service accounting for a complex real estate portfolio. Perform property analysis including vacancy tracking, average rents, and WALT.

Recoveries & Billings: Execute annual CAM and real estate tax billings; perform reconciliations and assemble necessary documentation for tenant use.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts using Yardi. Update periodic reporting for property valuations and board materials.

Lease Administration: Manage lease entry, default notices, and billing accuracy. Collaborate with leadership to monitor the lease pipeline and tenant work orders.

Tax & Audit Support: Calculate and process monthly privilege taxes. Prepare audit work papers and year-end financial statements for tax filings.

Operational Support: Oversee A/R and A/P activity, providing guidance to junior staff to ensure proper coding. Support the integration of new software investments.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, specifically within the Real Estate industry.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Yardi Voyager, Elevate, and Sage Fixed Asset software. Advanced MS Excel skills are essential.

Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
