Senior Property Accountant

- Supervise and review accounting activities for 2-14 large accounts, including account reconciliations and financial accuracy
- Accruals
- General ledger maintenance
- Account reconciliations
- Month-end close
- Capital expenditures (CapEx)
- Special assessments
- Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying gaps or risks even in low-risk areas
- Assist with and implement review processes, establishing appropriate checks where reviews are not currently being performed
- Analyze financial data to ensure standardization and completeness across accounts and reporting
- Develop, enforce, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance
- Set clear accounting standards and expectations, working closely with accountants to ensure processes are followed correctly
- Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting staff to promote best practices and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with management and other departments as needed to support business objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead accounting role preferred
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close
- Proven ability to enforce procedures and establish consistent standards
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
