Job Details
**Office locations in Charlotte and Winston-Salem**
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team and lead high-impact commercial construction projects, with a focus on K-12 educational facilities. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee all phases of complex projects from preconstruction planning and budgeting to on-site execution, subcontractor coordination, and closeout. As a key leader, you'll collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and our employee-owned team to deliver on time, on budget, and with unmatched quality, while navigating the unique demands of occupied campuses, urban environments, and innovative solutions that enhance communities. Responsibilities:
- Lead full project lifecycle management for commercial construction projects, including preconstruction planning, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless execution
- Manage project budgets, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout processes while maintaining profitability and quality standards
- Oversee on-site safety, quality control, and compliance with all regulations and project specifications
- Foster strong client relationships through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and delivering exceptional results
- Mentor project teams and contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting bid processes
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a preference for K-12 educational projects
- Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and risk mitigation
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) and Microsoft Office
