Senior Project Manager – Hedge Funds - technology delivery within asset management or hedge funds

Role Overview

Asset Management company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of technology and platform initiatives supporting the continued build out and modernization of investment management systems. This role will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects across trading platforms, market data, risk, treasury, sales technology, and related core systems.

The Project Manager will partner closely with technology leadership and business stakeholders to drive disciplined delivery, clear governance, and coordinated execution across internal teams and third party vendors. The role requires strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to impose structure across a fast moving technology environment.

Scope of Programs and Initiatives

The Project Manager will be accountable for delivery oversight across initiatives including, but not limited to:

• Trading and execution platforms including FlexTrade OMS/EMS and shadow booking solutions
• Market data migration, normalization, and inventory management initiatives
• Risk and treasury system selection, implementation, and integration
• Sales technology implementation including CRM platforms and supporting data integrations
• Core platform enhancements and ancillary application rationalization
• Vendor selection, onboarding, and implementation management across technology platforms
• Coordination of system dependencies, integrations, and release sequencing across hedge fund and platform teams
• Support Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) governance in conjunction with Program Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Own end to end delivery of a portfolio of technology and platform initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, timelines, and delivery milestones
• Develop and maintain integrated technology project plans, dependency mapping, and release based delivery roadmaps
• Establish and run technology focused governance routines including status reporting, issue management, and executive level communications
• Partner with technology, data, and business stakeholders to align scope, priorities, and sequencing across multiple initiatives
• Lead vendor implementation efforts including planning, integration coordination, cutover readiness, and post go live stabilization
• Track and manage delivery risks related to data, integration points, environment readiness, and resource capacity
• Maintain program artifacts including RAID logs, decision registers, action tracking, and executive dashboards
• Serve as a central point of coordination between technology teams and external vendors

Required Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of project or program management experience focused on technology delivery within asset management, hedge funds, or financial services
• Proven experience managing complex system implementations involving platform integration, data migration, and technical conversion activities
• Strong understanding of front to back investment management systems, including trading, market data, risk, treasury, and client facing platforms
• Hands on experience managing vendor led technology implementations and integration programs
• Strong governance, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with comfort presenting to senior technology and business leadership
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent platforms
• Ability to operate independently, impose structure, and manage competing priorities across multiple technology initiatives
