Take your career to the next level as a Senior Project Manager & Estimator – Bridge Concrete Division in St. Louis, MO, with the flexibility to work out of either the Arnold or Des Peres office! This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Midwest infrastructure leader known for its commitment to safety, quality, and investing in its people. With the chance to build and lead your own Concrete Structures business unit and eventually take ownership of a full P&L, this role offers true leadership growth—not just another project management job.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Project Manager & Estimator – Bridge Concrete Division position include:
- 10+ years of experience managing bridge or structural concrete projects – Lead projects from preconstruction and estimating through execution and closeout.
- Strong estimating background in DOT, municipal, and industrial concrete work – Develop detailed cost estimates, bids, and proposals aligned with MoDOT and other DOT specifications.
- Deep knowledge of MoDOT specifications and construction standards – Ensure compliance and technical excellence across all projects.
- Experience managing union labor in a safety-driven culture – Lead and mentor union carpenters, laborers, and operators while maintaining strong field performance.
- Proven financial management skills – Oversee cost tracking, forecasting, billing, change management, and margin performance.
- Ability to negotiate subcontracts and supplier agreements – Maintain scope clarity, cost control, and schedule adherence.
- Leadership and business development capabilities – Partner with senior leadership to grow the Concrete Structures Division and position it for long-term success.
- Proficiency in estimating and project management software (HCSS HeavyBid, Primavera, or similar) – Utilize industry tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including no out-of-pocket cost benefits through the union, a 401k with 4% match, 2 weeks of PTO, and a company vehicle or $1,200 vehicle allowance.
