Senior Project Accountant - Sage/Procore

Our client, a well-established furniture manufacturing company based in Uniondale, Nassau County, is looking for an experienced Sr. Project Accountant. This is a FTE role and the successful candidate will have 5+ years of project accounting & Sage or Procore experience.

Well-established furniture manufacturer based in Uniondale, Nassau County. This role is 5 days per week in office and offers someone with 5+ years of project accounting & Sage or ProCore experience a chance to join a reputable team.

Description

This role will involve you to:

• Manage AP/AR, invoicing, collections, and vendor cost entry for payment processing

• Perform detailed job costing and financial tracking across multiple active projects

• Monitor project backlog and provide support for commission structure tracking

• Handle client billing inquiries and coordination with project managers

• Oversee vendor rebate tracking and insurance confirmations (COIs)

• Ensure accurate cost coding, allocations, and documentation

• Assist with month-end close related to project financials

• Maintain strong internal controls and financial accuracy across projects

• Utilize Sage Contractor 100 (preferred) and Procore for project financial management and reporting

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• 5-7+ years of construction or project-based accounting experience

• Strong experience with job costing and multi-project financial oversight

• Experience managing AP/AR and project billing processes

• Proficiency in project-based accounting systems

• Sage Contractor 100 preferred; Procore experience a plus

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
