Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in category management, sourcing, or procurement.
- Experience with global indirect categories (e.g., professional services, warehousing, or third-party logistics/logistics).
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience leading commercial negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships.
- Experience building and implementing new category management processes and frameworks.
- Experience in developing multi-year category strategies, including supplier segmentation, market analysis, and supplier performance management.

The Category Management team is building a foundational process-driven approach to category management to create a competitive advantage across the supply chain. In this role, you will establish a new operating model and drive a strategic mindset within the organization.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop and document a comprehensive multi-year category and sourcing strategy, utilizing structured methodologies and tools to align with Google Cloud’s long-term ideas.
- Serve as the undisputed relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic suppliers, managing all commercial aspects and acting as the single point of contact.
- Establish and implement the core governance, processes, and playbooks from the ground up, correcting historical process gaps and creating a standardized foundation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, shaping long-term business decisions and ensuring category strategies are fully integrated.
- Partner with the centralized cost intelligence and supplier performance teams to apply cost intelligence models in commercial activities.
