Pay Rate: $90–$95/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and manage multiple programs and pilot initiatives within a large energy utility environment. This hybrid role requires candidates to reside locally in the Bay Area and work onsite at the Oakland office 1–2 times per week.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives with minimal direction, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and has experience managing complex programs in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead moderate to complex initiatives, developing new perspectives on existing solutions and program goals.
  • Provide direction on overall program plans, deliverables, and implementation strategies.
  • Manage most or all deliverables within the program implementation plan.
  • Work independently while driving alignment across stakeholders.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Develop budget forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Create new and ad hoc reports, summarize findings, and provide actionable business insights.
  • Manage multiple programs and pilot initiatives simultaneously under demanding timelines.

Required Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
  • 6+ years of related program or project management experience
Core Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Program Management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across leadership levels
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment
  • Ability to assess challenges and recommend effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of energy industry applications, energy efficiency programs, and customer energy solutions
  • Understanding of business drivers and operational performance metrics
  • Experience supporting local-level energy customers
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with demanding time constraints

Work Environment & Equipment
  • Hybrid office environment with frequent use of computers, phone calls, and meetings
  • Travel may be required
  • Company-issued laptop provided
