About this position: Senior Program Manager             Location – Anchorage, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•   Manage a portfolio of task orders, ensuring all performance requirements are met while maintaining fiscal balance (invoicing & ODC management) and overall contract health.

•   Lead, assign, and supervise project and technical managers, task leads, and other contract support personnel to ensure effective execution across all task orders.

•   Develop, monitor, and manage period of performance budgets (burn rate) for each assigned task order, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting. Coordinate directly with the Operations Manager, based on established touchpoint schedule(s), to ensure fiscal compliance, corporate invoicing processing, and reporting to the customer (CDRL requirements).

•   Assist the Operations Manager with business development opportunities, which may include opportunity development and technical writing support.

•   Oversee hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for personnel supporting the contract portfolio, ensuring staffing levels meet mission requirements within allocated LCAT and FTE ranges.

•   Maintain strong relationships with government customers, provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

•   Manage relationships with subcontractors, including performance oversight (as appropriate), compliance monitoring, and coordination of subcontractor activities.

•   Ensure contract compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and reporting requirements, including quality assurance and risk management activities.

•   Develop and implement strategic plans to support future capability growth, contract expansion, and long-term customer needs in collaboration with the Operations Manager.

•   Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and performance reviews to internal leadership and external stakeholders.

•   Identify and mitigate risks across the contract portfolio, ensuring continuity of operations and proactive issue resolution.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

•   Education Requirements: Master’s Degree in Business/Logistics/IT or “advanced degree”

•   Level of Experience Requirements:

•   15+ years of experience as contract task lead or project/program manager.

•   10+ years with Department of Defense experience; preferably IT and/or professional services

•       Must have or be able to attain Secret Clearance.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

•   Strong oral and written skills.

•   Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

•   Experience with Jira/Confluence platforms.

•   Strong understanding of the Agile Scrum process – ability to engage with Product Owners and stakeholders are required to ensure compliance with processes and ceremonies.
