Experience working with relational databases, specifically SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 a plus
JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a Senior Professional Application Developer to provide support for the New Jersey MMIS account. Primary job functions include software development and testing in support of data analytics. Must have the ability to function well in a team environment and/or work independently to achieve project goals. The ability to multi-task and adapt to changing initiatives is also a key component to the position.
What we're looking for
· 5-8 years' experience of development using SSIS, SSRS, Stored Procedures and Job Scheduling (Windows and SQL Server)
· Experience using ad-hoc SQL to query databases, with at least 5+ years' experience
· Experience working with relational databases, specifically SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 a plus
· Experience with version control software
· Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle required
· Mentors other team members in areas of expertise and ETL processes and standards and participates in code reviews
· Microsoft Office experience required in WORD and EXCEL
· Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for interaction with internal and external customers
· Strong writing and organization skills
Other desired skills:
· UNIX scripting knowledge, using VI/VIM editor, a plus
· Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF for Mainframe activities, a plus
· Healthcare Industry experience a plus, Medicaid knowledge preferred, but not required
