Senior Principal Process Automation Engineer
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Senior Principal Process Automation Engineer can be based in Houston, TX with frequent project trips to Tulsa, OK & Artesia, NM. This is a long-term contract position with competitive pay. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art project.
The Senior Principal Process Automation Engineer will help drive the growth and expansion of new business opportunities within the industrial automation sector by leveraging cutting-edge digital, technology, and autonomous solutions. The consultant will play a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Experience with design deliverables such as instrument and IO indexes, written specifications, cause and effect diagrams, PLC / DCS / SIS Systems networking and architecture, binary logic diagrams, instrument datasheets, FAT & SAT protocols, proof test protocols, construction scope of works and project execution plans and schedules.
- Experience working in the field with specific support for construction management, FAT and SAT, installation qualification, commissioning and handover.
- Experience in the following sectors a plus: Oil and Gas: Refining, Upstream, offshore, LNG, chemical and petrochemical, Mining, and nuclear industries.
- Skilled in the configuration of DCS/SIS/PLC systems building points and complex loops from P&IDs.
- Experience with setup and integration of hardware for DCS/SIS/PLC systems.
- HMI configuration for DCS/SIS/PLC systems.
- Significant experience with expertise in leading control systems projects in the industry and managing a team.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline (Electrical, Instrumentation Computer Systems).
- P.E. license preferred - Must be eligible to obtain a P.E. license where the role is based.
