Senior Power Electronics Engineer
Manpower Engineering
Appleton, WI
This opportunity centers on designing power electronics for one of the most dynamic electrical loads in industry — the welding arc. The system must sense real‑time changes caused by operator movement, materials, and conditions, then instantly adjust voltage and current to maintain stability. It’s closed‑loop, high‑frequency (>20 kHz) power control using advanced switching technologies (SiC now, GaN on the roadmap), with full ownership from concept through production. If you enjoy deep, real‑world physics problems and end‑to‑end system ownership, this role is genuinely different.
