Senior Planner

Job Title: Senior Planner  

Location: on-site, New York City

Overview:  Looking for a Senior Planner to oversee strategic planning management for high-volume accounts while driving financial results.  This role requires a dynamic individual with expertise in sales forecasting, inventory management, and team leadership. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Sales team to forecast sales, margin, and inventory turn by month, brand/division, and account/customer/size range. 
• Validate plans to meet external and internal sales and profit criteria. 
• Analyze sales trends and adjust forecasts accordingly. 
• Manage receipt flows and model stock levels to support sales forecasts and profit goals. 
• Develop strategies based on geographic and store-attribute performance trends. 
• Track sales related to markdowns to ensure margin performance. 
• Identify opportunities within brands/divisions and accounts, down to the door level. 
• Provide direction to Brick & Mortar partners for merchandise flow strategies. 
• Prepare merchandise plans by analyzing product categories, quantities, and seasonal floor space. 
• Integrate sales forecasts to specify purchase quantities and timelines. 
• Recruit, train, and develop team members. 
• Supervise staff and provide direction to drive sales. 
• Handle special projects as assigned.
