Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Accurately processing payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring all payments are made on time and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
2. Managing timesheets, ensuring all hours worked by employees are correctly recorded and compensated.
3. Administering 401K plans and other benefits, ensuring all deductions and contributions are correctly calculated and processed.
4. Processing monthly allowances, bonuses, and other special payments, ensuring all such payments are correctly calculated and processed.
5. Making Accounts Payable (AP) entries, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded in our accounting system.
6. Using Procore, Sage 300, ADP, and other payroll and accounting software to manage payroll functions, ensuring all software is used correctly and efficiently.
7. Keeping up-to-date with changes in state and federal payroll regulations, ensuring our payroll processes remain in compliance with all such regulations.
8. Providing excellent customer service, answering any payroll-related questions from employees and resolving any payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Payroll Specialist position, you must have:

1. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Experience with 401K administration, timesheet management, processing of monthly allowances and bonuses, and making AP entries.
4. Experience with multi-state payroll, including knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations.
5. Proficiency in Procore, Sage 300, ADP, and other payroll and accounting software.
6. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all payroll transactions are correctly calculated and recorded.
7. Strong customer service skills, ensuring all payroll-related inquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, ensuring any payroll-related issues are quickly resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
9. Strong communication skills, ensuring all payroll-related information is clearly and effectively communicated to employees and other stakeholders.
10. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring all payroll functions are managed efficiently and effectively.
