We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our fast-growing team. This is a permanent role that offers you the opportunity to take charge of our payroll system, ensuring its accuracy, efficiency, and legal compliance. You will be responsible for the overall management of the payroll function, from data entry and processing to reporting and reconciliation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with numbers.

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Payroll Administrator, you will:

1. Oversee the preparation, documentation, and disbursement of payroll payments, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
3. Perform regular payroll audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
4. Prepare and submit reports on payroll operations to the management team.
5. Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult on the automation of payroll processes.
6. Work closely with the HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data and financial records.
7. Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production.
8. Coordinate with IT staff to manage and improve payroll systems and software.
9. Stay updated on new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll.
10. Provide training to the team members about payroll processes and policies.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Payroll Administrator position should have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a senior role.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
3. Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP workforce now), taxation policies, and wage and hour laws.
4. Experience in payroll reconciliation and reporting.
5. A solid understanding of accounting principles and ability to work with complex financial data.
6. Proven experience in integrating and automating payroll systems.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
10. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
11. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
