What this job involves:
Foster strategic partnerships as a Senior Occupancy Planner with JLL, where you'll collaborate with client Real Estate Organizations and end users to cultivate innovative space solutions while ensuring consistent delivery of planning services and effective management of occupancy data within client workplace programs and strategy frameworks. You'll serve as a trusted advisor translating complex data into actionable recommendations, supporting comprehensive scenario planning, and ensuring site-specific strategies align with enterprise-wide portfolio priorities. This role positions you as a Subject Matter Expert in workplace programs using data-driven solutions to increase productivity while modeling superior client relationship management and strategic thinking as a leader within Occupancy Planning and account teams. Your expertise will contribute to JLL's planning excellence while you manage occupancy plan development, sequence complex regional and site-level moves, and resolve critical planning issues identified during strategic client sessions.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Strategic Solution Development:Respond to rapidly changing business needs with flexibility and commitment while creating business programming, restack programs, allocation plans, adjacency diagrams, test fits, migration plans, and move sequencing for complex planning projects
Complex Problem Solving:Use creative and analytical thinking to generate multiple solution options for complex occupancy challenges including M&A activities, rapid growth scenarios, consolidations, and economic disruptions requiring innovative space strategies
Data Management & Analysis:Aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources while utilizing CAFM/IWMS databases to manage allocations, maintain data accuracy, and coordinate with Space Data Insights Teams for comprehensive reporting
Occupancy Planning Leadership:Manage development of comprehensive occupancy plans, sequence region, site, and group-level moves, and resolve planning issues while ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and space maximization
Policy & Standards Management:Recommend, educate, and enforce space policies, standards, procedures, and protocols while notifying clients of customer-requested exceptions and assisting in developing site-specific Planning Strategies with Senior Leadership
Utilization Reporting & Forecasting:Present space utilization data to organizational leadership, identify space requirements, prepare project status reports on actual versus projected seat demand, and forecast inventory changes at building levels
Client Advisory Services:Interact with organizational leadership to reconcile discrepancies from top-down projections, translate data into strategic recommendations, and support scenario planning that aligns with enterprise portfolio priorities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or related field preferred with 5-7 years work experience in occupancy/space planning at strategic level, interior office planning, or move/project management in corporate real estate settings
Proficient in AutoCAD for test fit option development with intermediate to advanced proficiency preferred and proficient in CAFM/IWMS databases (FMS, Manhattan, Tririga, Archibus) with intermediate to advanced capabilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat with capability to master client-specific programs for comprehensive project delivery and presentation development
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and within teams to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners while demonstrating flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
Comfortable with frequent or rapid change demonstrating flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction in dynamic environments
Ability to translate complex occupancy challenges into innovative solutions while managing multiple concurrent projects and maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in spatial planning Strong written and verbal communication abilities with capability to interact effectively across organizational levels and deliver strategic recommendations to diverse stakeholder groups
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles, and workplace trends including mobile or collaborative workplace environments with understanding of emerging space planning concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tactfully deliver difficult messages, tailor information to specific audiences, and lead through influence in complex organizational environments
Expert-level data analytical skills with ability to articulate compelling stories through data while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with numbers and spatial creativity
Background leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, or supporting organizational change management initiatives within corporate real estate or facility management contexts
Experience with business intelligence platforms, advanced space planning software, or data visualization tools that enhance analytical capabilities and presentation quality
Professional certifications in space planning, facility management, or project management with active participation in industry organizations demonstrating commitment to continuous learning and best practices

Estimated compensation for this position:
104,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
