We are seeking a Senior NPI / Process Engineer to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PCB manufacturing and electronic assembly processes. In this highly visible role, you will lead and mentor engineering teams, drive New Product Introductions (NPI), and champion continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a seasoned technical leader with deep expertise in electronics manufacturing, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, and process optimization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the SME for PCB manufacturing, SMT, and electronic assembly processes across manufacturing teams

  • Lead, mentor, and guide process and manufacturing engineers to improve productivity, efficiency, and product quality

  • Drive New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring smooth transitions from prototype to full production

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce cost, improve yield, and enhance quality

  • Design and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize critical process parameters

  • Lead process improvement and new process development projects, implementing scalable manufacturing solutions

  • Optimize facility layouts, assembly flow, and tooling to support efficient production

  • Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives and validate materials, tooling, and methods

  • Conduct post-NPI lessons learned and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement

  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective Actions (CA)

  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers on process-related issues

  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and applicable regulatory standards

  • Mentor and develop Process Engineering personnel, providing technical leadership and guidance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, process engineering, or a related field

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of PCBA, SMT, and electronic assembly processes

  • Proven experience leading teams and managing complex technical projects

  • Strong background in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma

  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and effective in cross-functional team environments

  • Onsite position only (remote or hybrid work not available)
