Job Description – Senior Network Engineer 

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize enterprise-level network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in networking technologies, security, and cloud integrations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and firewalls.

• Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

• Manage and configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring tools.

• Implement and enforce network security best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures.

• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to support business growth.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.

• Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to network strategy.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

• Strong expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet networking equipment.

• Proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, VTP).

• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios, etc.).

• Solid understanding of firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network security.

• Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP networking) preferred.

• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.

• Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSE, or equivalent) highly desirable.
