Sterling Engineering is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a well-established, industry-leading manufacturer with decades of success. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and fixtures to optimize quality and efficiency
- Serve as the subject matter expert for machinery, equipment, and production capabilities
- Lead new product development efforts, taking designs from concept through production launch
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance improvements
- Support product and component testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, routings, and engineering change notices
- Collaborate with suppliers on component design, material selection, and manufacturability improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or production environments
- Strong background working with metals, CNC machining, tooling, dies, and fixtures
- Proven experience taking products from concept through production and scaling processes
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or similar) for product and tooling design
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
