Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Aircraft(110–120K + Bonus)
We have an exciting Senior Manufacturing Engineer opportunity available at a prestigious Aircraft Manufacturer located in beautiful Sandpoint.
This role plays a critical part in supporting final aircraft assembly, driving process optimization, strengthening root cause analysis, and ensuring on-time aircraft delivery.

Sandpoint, Idaho Location:
- Scenic lakeside mountain town.
- Four-season outdoor recreation (boating, hiking, skiing, fishing).
- Walkable downtown with restaurants and local shops.
- Short commutes and strong community feel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve manufacturing methods including mBOMs, routings, tooling, layouts, and work instructions.
- Support aircraft structures, avionics installation, machining, and final assembly operations.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure configuration control and incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans.
- Support make/buy decisions and cost analysis.
- Participate in MRB activities and risk mitigation.
- Train production teams on processes and best practices.
- Partner cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 7-10 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (aerospace, marine, or related preferred).
- Final assembly line experience strongly desired.
- Experience with riveting and complex aircraft assembly processes.
- CAD proficiency (Siemens NX preferred).
- Experience with PLM (TeamCenter) and ERP systems (Epicor E10 or SAP).
- Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
