Role Overview
The Senior Logistical Planner is responsible for overseeing complex supply planning and inventory management activities across multiple material categories. This role requires strong analytical capability, hands-on SAP expertise, and advanced Excel skills to support forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational readiness.
The planner partners closely with program management, construction, finance, and operations teams to ensure supply plans align with business objectives and respond effectively to shortages, emergencies, and changing demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee supply planning for a diverse portfolio of material categories
- Review and release purchase requisitions and initiate stock transfers
- Expedite with vendors as needed to meet project start dates
- Coordinate and communicate allocation plans during material shortages
- Provide off-hour procurement and expediting support during storms or emergencies
- Partner with program management, construction, and finance to align on supply plans and assumptions
- Maintain SAP planning parameters aligned to forecasts, fill-rate targets, and inventory turns
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to leadership
- Coach peers on supply planning best practices
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma tools
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience (required)
- Master’s Degree in a job-related discipline or equivalent experience (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain or related experience
- 7+ years preferred
Required Technical Skills
- Hands-on SAP experience (planning, parameters, and execution)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- Conditional Formatting
- General formulas and shortcut keys
- Strong understanding of inventory management, statistics, and forecasting methodologies

- Analytical thinking with awareness of financial and operational impacts
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Clear, professional presentation and communication abilities
- Effective interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- APICS CPIM Certification
- Experience with SAP ERP, APO, Oracle Demand Planning, or similar tools
- Intermediate knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and methodologies

- Personal phone required for MS Teams calls
- No expense reimbursement for standard work setup
