Summary:
Primary responsibility is oversight of the processing department, including scheduling of personnel. Provide front line assistance and guidance to staff members. Assist in the development of training programs for processing/phlebotomy staff. Assist in competency assessment. Provide input to Manager/Supervisor regarding staff evaluations.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- Associates Degree Required (Medical Office Assistant strongly preferred)
- Medical Laboratory Technician strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year data entry experience preferred
- Two (2) years laboratory processing experience preferred
- Familiarity of computer systems
- Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skill
- Three (3) years phlebotomy experience, which includes micro-collection and butterfly collection on both geriatric and neonatal/pediatric clients preferred
