What Youll Do
- Lead residential design projects from concept through installation with minimal supervision
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, builders, and vendors
- Develop story-driven, lifestyle-centered design concepts aligned with the studios aesthetic
- Create mood boards, hand sketches, and space plans (3D rendering is a plus)
- Collaborate with CAD designers to develop detailed construction documentation
- Manage project budgets, schedules, programming, and time & materials tracking (Studio Designer)
- Select and specify finishes, materials, furniture, and fixtures appropriate to project scope and client level
- Mentor and delegate to junior team members
- Lead client presentations, project meetings, and site visits
- Coordinate with contractors and consultants and resolve construction-related design challenges
- Review shop drawings and submittals and support construction administration
- Administer contracts, bids, and negotiations
- Organize project priorities, team tasks, and timelines across multiple projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of residential interior design experience
- Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Strong understanding of the full design process, including FF&E specification and project management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, Asana, Photoshop, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Knowledge of cabinetry design, building systems, and codes is a plus
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborative
- Resilience, problem-solving ability, and strong critical thinking skills
