POSITION SUMMARY:
MedNOW Clinics is a growing, physician-owned, multi-site medical practice with approximately 180 employees across 13 locations, and continued expansion on the horizon. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward-thinking Senior Human Resources Manager to help scale our HR functions and employee services in step with the organization’s growth.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for ensuring operational excellence in payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations, while also serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and practice managers. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thinks beyond day-to-day tasks, anticipates future needs, and is willing to go above and beyond to strengthen systems, elevate culture, and support a growing workforce.
The Human Resources Director will play a key role in building infrastructure, improving processes, and shaping a positive employee experience that supports MedNOW’s mission, values, and long-term vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources Leadership & Operations
- Lead and oversee all HR functions for a multi-site medical practice, ensuring consistency, compliance, and best practices.
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and managers on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, handbooks, and workflows aligned with applicable laws and organizational needs.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and vendor coordination.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and reconciliation across payroll, benefits, and HRIS platforms (Netchex).
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and hiring support.
- Partner with managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage online job platforms and candidate databases to attract competitive applicant pools.
- Oversee onboarding, pre-employment screenings, background checks, and new hire documentation.
- Coordinate and facilitate bi-weekly in-person new hire orientations.
Employee Records & HRIS Management
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee personnel records in both electronic and physical formats.
- Ensure compliance with Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of HR files to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, performance management, and separations.
- Maintain active knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA and Colorado FAMLI.
- Ensure organizational compliance with labor laws, healthcare-related employment regulations, and internal policies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support organizational culture initiatives, engagement efforts, and continuous improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational goals.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems or ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Ability to work onsite with a consistent schedule.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with demonstrated growth in responsibility and scope.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, medical practice, or multi-site organization strongly preferred; familiarity with physician-owned or provider-led environments is a plus.
- Proven hands-on experience administering payroll, benefits, HRIS systems, and employee records for an organization of comparable size (150+ employees).
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment for both clinical and non-clinical roles, including partnering with hiring managers and developing effective sourcing strategies.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with employee relations, including performance management, corrective action, and separations.
- Direct experience ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA and Colorado FAMLI (or comparable state leave programs).
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Businesses Administration, or a related field required
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP or equivalent certification preferred.

- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods in a standard office environment.
- Regular use of office equipment, including computers, phones, scanners, and copiers.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
