AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation.  We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times. 

What Drives Success:

As Sr. HR Generalist at Lennox AES, you will have the opportunity to engage in multiple areas of human resources, including talent acquisition, compliance, employee relations, training and development, total rewards, and workforce strategies. This role is based out of Lennox AES headquarters in Tallassee, AL with HR responsibilities supporting a distributed workforce of 270+ employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Leadership Support
    • Serves as trusted HR Advisor to leadership and employees.
    • Provide guidance to both employees and management on work-related issues, conflict resolution, performance management, attendance, coaching and progressive discipline and interpreting HR policies as needed.
    • Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate corrective actions in alignment with company policy and legal requirements.
  • HR Operations & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, etc.)
    • Administer HR policies, programs, and practices in alignment with company standards
    • Oversee accurate HRIS data management, timekeeping, and payroll-related processes
    • Analyze and report HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, and attrition to support decision-making
    • Support audits, policy updates, and system implementations
  • Onboarding
    • Manage new hire documentation to ensure compliance, readiness for employment, and streamlined onboarding.
    • Lead new hire orientations to introduce company culture, policies, and essential procedures.
    • Ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Talent & Workforce Support
    • Partner with business partners and talent acquisition to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
    • Engage in the full cycle of recruiting, including interviewing, screening, and selecting candidates.
    • Support workforce planning, promotions, transfers, and off-cycle changes.
    • Coach managers on development conversations, career progression, and retention strategies
  • Training, Development & Change Management
    • Support leadership development programs and HR initiatives
    • Lead or support change management efforts related to new programs, systems, or policies
    • Lead employee engagement survey efforts, including survey administration, analysis, and action-planning support.
    • Drive Career Journey system implementation and champion Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to support employee growth and career development.
  • Employee Support & Wellness
    • Provide broad HR support to office, manufacturing, and field associates.
    • Oversees various aspects of employee benefits, ensuring employees are informed and making effective use of available programs
    • Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives across the site
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Partner with the EH&S department to foster a safe working environment.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4 + years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Our Team

Lennox AES is headquartered in Tallassee, AL just west of Auburn and east of Montgomery. Our team of 270+ employees consist of associates across four manufacturing facilities and numerous field crews that work throughout all 50 states. Our HR team consists of 3 professionals in collaboration with the Lennox Center of Excellence teams.

Work Environment

This role is designated 100% on-site in an office and manufacturing environment with opportunities to visit various company locations to engage with associates and understand employee work environments.

What We Offer:

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $72,000 - $94,500 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
