Senior Financial Systems and Data Analyst

This position works with the Finance team and determine how to best organize and coordinate the data so that financial reporting is efficient and accurate.In addition, this position, by virtue of its close proximity to the data, will be responsible for the build out of KPI and financial reporting dashboards. The position involves the following:

Data Integrity and Validation

·Develop and execute routines to validate financial and operational data in the data warehouse.

·Write SQL queries to investigate discrepancies and confirm data completeness.

·Monitor data loads and identify issues early in the accounting close cycle.

·Ensure mappings, transformations, and business rules are aligned with GAAP and accounting policies.

Cross-Functional Liaison

·Finance Liaison to BI and Dev Ops team to provide financial information from the data warehouse to the accounting team.

·Translate accounting requirements into technical specifications for IT

·Overall is responsible for ensuring that the information being pulled out of the data warehouse is accurate and applicable to accounting needs.

·Align existing Pioneer application data to warehouse and assure applicability to accounting needs during the accounting close.

System & Process Ownership

·Maintain documentation of data flows from source system → data warehouse → GL/reporting.

·Own mapping tables, logic, and accounting attributes within systems.
