POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst analyzes and interprets financial data to advise and support strategic decision-making and achieve business objectives. This position is a key liaison and resource to several functional areas of On Lok providing financial analytics and consultation on complex program and functional activities, budget policies and procedures, financial modeling, and reporting to align, inform and support strategic initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst is a self-starter who can analyze large volumes of data, develop complex models and analytical tools, accurately complete tasks subject to tight deadlines, deal with uncertainties, and prioritize and manage multiple assignments.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCIAL PLANNING & REPORTING PROCESSES

  • Support the annual and multi-year financial planning activities by anticipating business changes and spotting trends, getting stakeholders aligned on material inputs, completing input models, and ensuring all planning and reporting data is accurately reflected in financial systems.
  • Own the technical side of the planning process, as the software subject matter expert.
  • Support the quarterly board reporting processes, including financial statement preparation, forward-looking projections, and written analyses.
  • Support the establishment of cost accounting frameworks and processes to ensure accurate tracking of recurring costs.
  • Help design new reports and dashboards, simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support to deliver financial results to senior management efficiently.

FINANCIAL ANALYTICS - MODELING/DASHBOARDS

  • Develop qualitative and quantitative financial analyses for key internal clients, including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed.
  • Uses financial modeling and analytical tools to forecast impact of business changes.
  • Develop complex financial models and complete ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Maintain exceptional quality assurance standards visa vi consistent data validation.
  • Track variances between budgets/projections and results to identify differences; recommends improvements.
  • Ensure financial transactions maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory policies, standards and controls.

BUDGET PREPARATION

  • Prepare budget vs. actual analyses and meet with budget holders monthly to discuss department-level financial statements.

OTHER

  • Engage cross-functional partners across the organization as needed.
  • Assist finance management and other team members as necessary.
  • Build value-added relationships with key stakeholders and become a trusted partner to budget owners.
  • Assume a team lead role for the work group.

QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities):

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or business management required. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in financial analysis and/or accounting required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, GAAP accounting and cost accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel, Work and PowerPoint).
  • Detail-driven and excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A drive to understand the core issues and determination to uncover the solution.
  • Able to implement complex financial models and analyze large volumes of data.
  • 2 years in a non-profit and/or healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle financial systems preferred.
  • Experience with PACE organizations or managed healthcare is a plus.

Your final compensation offer will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and licenses/certifications. The pay range is expressed as an hourly rate regardless of FLSA status. Exempt positions are paid salaried and are not subject to overtime.
