Senior Financial Analyst

- Populate monthly financial reporting schedules and provide to Planning
- Analyze actuals vs. forecast (Budget / Estimate) and explain fluctuations
- Analyze fringe balances and prepare quarterly fringe accruals based on the latest estimates
- Prepare annual multi-employer pension project
- Prepare corporate cost allocations
- Prepare invoices for charges to Viacom
- Prepare and park monthly and quarterly journal entries and accruals as required
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to overhead
- Clear conversion accounts ensuring they net to zero
- Clear suspense/clearing accounts (including payroll and T&E) ensuring they net to zero
- Balancing of financial systems
- Validate Quarterly and YTD Earnings Books
- Prepare Quarterly Balance Sheet File for Planning Team
- Assist with audit requests
- Back-up for Capital Acquisition/Disposal forms initial review
- Back-up Aviation Department
- Produce other ad hoc reporting and manage special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (could have degree in economics or finance as long as they have experience working in an accounting role with the above listened items
- 2+ years of accounting experience- needs experience in account reconciliation, booked journal entries, understanding what accruals are, reporting, month end close, being used to having deadlines
- Strong (and current) technical knowledge of US GAAP - nice to have
- Intermediate-Advanced skills in Excel
- Proficiency in MS Word
- Previous experience in the Entertainment Industry
- Previous experience with Hyperion (Essbase/Smartview) and SAP desired
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
