The Senior Events Manager leads the strategic planning, design, and flawless execution of luxury events. This role oversees the Events Team and manages all aspects of the event lifecycle, from contract conversion and detailed planning through execution, final billing, and post-event follow-up, ensuring every experience exceeds guest expectations.
The Senior Events Manager combines creativity with operational discipline, bringing innovative event concepts to life while maintaining rigorous standards for service, accuracy, and financial performance. Working in close partnership with Sales, Culinary, Programming, Spa, and other operational teams, the Senior Events Manager ensures seamless collaboration and alignment across departments to deliver elevated, memorable guest experiences.
This role also serves as a mentor and culture champion for the Events Team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment while driving excellence in execution, client relationships, and revenue performance.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the full lifecycle of events from contract conversion through post-event follow-up.
- Ensure all event details, logistics, timelines, and service elements are flawlessly executed.
- Serve as the primary contact for group planners, guiding them through programming, services, and experiences.
- Develop retreat agendas and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to create memorable experiences.
- Identify opportunities to enhance events through thoughtful upselling, such as upgraded rooms, private activities, décor, or entertainment.
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the Events Team.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence while upholding luxury service standards.
Serve as a mentor and culture champion, inspiring high-performing teamwork and professional growth.
Partner with Sales, Culinary, Programming, Guest Services, Spa, and other operational teams to align event objectives with operational capabilities.
Lead BEO and group resume meetings with operations teams to ensure alignment across departments.
Coordinate guestroom blocks, rooming lists, and contractual requirements to ensure seamless execution.
Evaluate event business for profitability and oversee revenue performance.
Maintain accurate documentation including event orders, group resumes, and final billing.
Collaborate with accounting to ensure final billing and documentation are accurate and timely.
3+ years of experience in event management, hospitality, meetings, or a related field.
- Proven experience planning and executing high-end events or luxury group experiences.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to anticipate challenges and solve problems quickly and effectively.
Experience working with event or space management software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to remain calm and organized in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including varied shifts as needed.
