Join Our Team as a Senior Project Manager!
At Slifco Electric, we power some of the region's biggest projects in the Automotive, Heavy Industrial, Commercial, and Mission Critical sectors - from new construction to major renovations. Our projects range from $30M–$400M, and we're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the charge!
The Role:
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager who can take the reins on complex projects, from bidding and preconstruction to construction and closeout. You'll also mentor 1–2 junior project managers, making sure the whole team succeeds. Think of it as leading the charge, keeping projects on time, under budget, and done right - while building strong client relationships and having fun doing it!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead bidding process, including pre-bid meetings, site walk-throughs, and final proposals.
- Crunch numbers and assemble estimates: labor, materials, subcontractors, and all the costs.
- Negotiate contracts and lock in final scopes.
- Be the go-to person for clients, general contractors, and your project team.
- Mentor and oversee 1–2 junior PMs - guide, support, and mentor.
- Keep everyone on track: schedules, milestones, progress reports, and status updates.
- Monitor budgets, forecast costs, and keep projects profitable.
- Coordinate with other trades, superintendents, foremen, and safety teams to make sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
- Handle all project paperwork like a pro: submittals, contracts, POs, and revisions.
- Communicate any delays, scope changes, or cost impacts and make sure solutions are in place.
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years in electrical project management and estimating.
- Experience managing large-scale projects ($30M+).
- Experience with Data Centers.
- Experience with ground up projects.
- Leadership experience mentoring junior project managers or teams.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accu-Bid, McCormick).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience preparing estimates over $1M.
- Design-build experience is a plus.
- Background in Commercial, Institutional, Automotive, or Heavy Industrial electrical projects.
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, and teams.
- Pre-employment drug testing required.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
- Lead exciting, high-profile projects with real impact.
- Mentor the next generation of project managers.
- Collaborate with a skilled, dedicated team in a respected, growing company.
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development.
