Senior Electrical Engineer

Salary Up to $150,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation to a Southern Metro

The Senior Electrical Engineer leads capital and expense projects, supports daily operations, and strengthens the plant’s electrical and controls capabilities. This role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, and E&I Technicians to troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and drive technical upgrades. The position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Electrical Engineer:

  • Manage and execute electrical and controls projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Build expertise in tissue manufacturing equipment, utilities, and instrumentation.
  • Customize and support MES, ERP, and HMI systems to improve data flow and machine control.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, NEC, NFPA 70, and Arc Flash requirements.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, sensors, and power distribution systems.
  • Maintain documentation for electrical drawings, PLC programs, and control software.
  • Mentor junior engineers and deliver training for operations and maintenance teams.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement control system improvements.
  • Conduct failure analysis and drive reliability enhancements.
  • Manage project budgets and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Follow all environmental policies and report hazards or incidents.

Minimum Qualifications for this Senior Electrical Engineer position:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years in industrial manufacturing or technical engineering roles.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, DCS, and power distribution.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
  • Strong vendor management and hands‑on technical capability.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train others, manage multiple priorities, and perform in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem‑solving, and customer focus.
