Evans Engineering and Consulting is a progressive Electrical Engineering firm located in Post Falls, Idaho. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Senior level Electrical Engineer position to join our growing team.
Successful candidates need to have thorough knowledge and understanding of current standards and principles, the ability to develop electrical details, diagrams and construction documents. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, work well under pressure and have excellent analytical problem solving skills. Design experience of medium and low voltage electrical systems, telecommunication systems, lighting and control systems is essential.
Primary Job Functions:
- Design of power distribution, lighting and control, fire-alarm, and security systems.
- Calculation and design of electrical equipment (transformers, switchboards, electrical loads, conductor sizing, etc.)
- Preparation of single line diagram and panel schedules.
- Construction Support - Submittal review, responding to RFI's, project documentation.
- Create project technical specifications.
- Review of electrical engineering documentation prepared by subcontractors
- Review vendor drawings and data for compliance with project electrical engineering requirements.
- Ability to search product and equipment data sheets as necessary.
Secondary Job Functions:
- Attend design meetings, coordinate with other design team members and disciplines.
- Coordinate with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve design and project issues.
Requirements:
- BSEE degree, EIT or PE.
- Previous A/E project experience preferred.
- Experience in Aviation, Transportation, or Capital Projects is highly desired.
- Must be a team player, and work well with others.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- AutoCAD 2010 or greater. Experience in Electrical or MEP is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Capability to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Great attention to detail
