Take charge of technical guidance throughout the entire product development process, from initial requirements gathering through to production and product maintenance. Engage in cutting-edge design and analysis of both analog and digital hardware tailored for challenging environments. Craft precise requirements and comprehensive design documentation, and effectively communicate your designs in technical review sessions. Conduct optimization to manage the complex balance of performance, cost, timing, and risk. Assist with manufacturing and supplier interface, as well as analyzing and resolving issues with existing products. Provide mentorship to up-and-coming engineers, contribute insights on proposals and budgeting, and participate in the recruiting and evaluation of technical candidates.
Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, although a Master's is preferred, along with a minimum of ten years of experience in designing both analog and digital circuits. A foundation in power electronics, and a comprehensive understanding of devices like MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, and GaN is essential. Experience designing DC/DC converters and knowledge of relevant standards such as MIL-STD-1275/704, DO-160, and MIL-STD-461 is crucial. Candidates should be skilled in performing various analyses including thermal, electrical stress, worst-case, and FMEA, among others. Expertise in PWB layout for designs that accommodate high power, voltage, and EMI-compliant configurations is necessary. Knowledgeable in communication protocols like CAN, RS-232/422/485, and Ethernet, and experienced with motor control and control theory techniques. Proficiency with CAD and simulation tools such as LT-Spice, P-Spice, OrCAD, Allegro, and MATLAB/Simulink is required. ^
