Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to support industrial projects across the Midwest. This fully remote role involves working closely with Engineers and Designers on multiple concurrent projects for industrial clients. The ideal candidate is highly self‑motivated, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings strong technical expertise in electrical design and drafting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field surveys at existing industrial client sites
  • Support Industrial Engineers and provide technical direction to less experienced Designers
  • Develop detailed electrical installation drawings and physical layouts
  • Create equipment arrangement drawings, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, grounding, lighting, and associated documentation
  • Apply industry standards and NEC requirements to electrical designs
  • Perform quality control reviews of electrical design drawings
  • Manage and schedule work for an electrical design and drafting team
  • Coordinate with multi‑discipline teams to ensure design accuracy and consistency

Required Experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design for industrial clients
  • Strong design and drafting experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable industry standards
  • Proficiency with CAD systems, point cloud software, and Microsoft Office products

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associate degree in Engineering or Design (preferred)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Skills & Competencies
  • Advanced AutoCAD and/or MicroStation proficiency
  • 3D design experience (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to solve practical design problems
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
