Position summary
The Electrical Engineer – Control Systems is responsible for the design and development of advanced control systems used in rotating aerospace subassemblies. This role supports the design and manufacture of turbine engine, transmission, and dynamometer test systems used across aerospace and gas turbine applications. The position requires strong hands-on engineering capability, collaboration across disciplines, and comfort working on large-scale electromechanical systems.
The Electrical Engineer – Control Systems is responsible for the design and development of advanced control systems used in rotating aerospace subassemblies. This role supports the design and manufacture of turbine engine, transmission, and dynamometer test systems used across aerospace and gas turbine applications. The position requires strong hands-on engineering capability, collaboration across disciplines, and comfort working on large-scale electromechanical systems.
Essential duties and responsibilities
• Design and develop sophisticated control systems for rotating aerospace subassemblies
• Develop and support control architectures incorporating mechanical, electrical, data acquisition, and control systems
• Program and troubleshoot control systems using LabVIEW, PLCs, and discrete electronic instrumentation
• Design and support regenerative systems utilizing variable frequency drives (VFDs) and electric motors rated 500 HP and above
• Integrate and troubleshoot physical sensors including temperature, pressure, flow, force, and related instrumentation
• Support motor drive electronics and high-power electrical systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally in a team-based engineering environment
• Support system testing, validation, and commissioning of test cells and test stands
• Travel within the United States as required, with infrequent international travel

Education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
• Minimum of 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience
• Prior experience designing or supporting industrial or aerospace control systems

Skills, specialized knowledge, or certifications
• Strong working knowledge of LabVIEW
