Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Senior Director, Operations. The Senior Director will report to the Executive Director, and collaborate with senior leaders to drive operational excellence, manage day-to-day operations, support execution of strategic plans and ensure the organization’s facilities and resources effectively support key stakeholders. This role ensures that companies systems, people, and processes operate with the highest levels of excellence, efficiency, and integrity in support of the mission. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strategic foresight, operational rigor, and a deep commitment to public trust and professional standards.

 
 
 

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner with the Executive Director to align operations with company mission, strategic plan, and long-term goals.
  • Translate strategy into actionable operational plans with clear metrics, milestones, and reporting.
  • Lead enterprise initiatives focused on operational excellence and continuous quality improvement.
  • Oversee key operational functions, including facilities, event planning, and product management.

Operations Oversight with Event Center

  • Lead Center operations to ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality exam and event delivery.
  • Oversee logistics, staffing, scheduling, and technology coordination to deliver an exceptional candidate and client experience.
  • Execute the Center business plan and identify opportunities to scale capacity and innovation.

Financial & Resource Stewardship

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Chief Financial & Business Officer to align budgets and resources with operational priorities.
  • Ensure effective budget management and responsible allocation of organizational resources.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and track key performance indicators to measure efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic progress.
  • Serve as an internal leader for best practices in product and program management.
  • Leverage data and technology to improve decision-making and operational outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and results-oriented culture focused on learning and improvement.

People & Culture

  • Partner with Human Resources to support talent acquisition, development, and engagement.
  • Build a people-first culture grounded in trust, accountability, and professional integrity.

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPA, or related field) preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in operations, administration, or organizational leadership.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
  • Proven success leading operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-site operations with cross-functional teams.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong strategic planning, execution, and change management capabilities.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource optimization.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience overseeing facilities, events, and product or program operations.

Work Requirements

  • Hybrid role: onsite in Raleigh, NC at least two days per week.
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%).
  • Ability to work on feet or seated for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
