This role supports large-scale capital projects across multiple regions, with a strong focus on power generation, data center, and heavy industrial construction.
Position Summary
The Director / Senior Director of Construction is responsible for the strategic leadership, planning, design, and execution of major construction projects, with primary emphasis on data centers, power generation, and mission-critical industrial infrastructure.
This individual will serve as the executive owner of projects from early site development through commissioning, ensuring delivery is safe, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with technical and customer requirements.
This position is focused on capital project delivery, not facility operations or maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership for large-scale construction projects across multiple U.S. and international locations
Oversee the full project lifecycle including site development, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning
Partner with internal stakeholders, customers, EPC firms, engineers, architects, and developers to define scope, schedule, and delivery strategy
Serve as owner’s representative on major construction programs
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls on large capital projects
Lead contractor, subcontractor, and vendor selection including RFPs, negotiations, and performance management
Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, environmental, and building code requirements
Oversee quality assurance / quality control throughout the construction process
Manage documentation including contracts, change orders, permits, and reporting
Coordinate commissioning and project closeout activities
Establish scalable construction standards and best practices across multiple projects
Provide input on site feasibility, constructability, and long-term infrastructure planning
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field required
10+ years of progressive construction leadership experience
Experience with data centers, power generation, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure projects strongly preferred
Proven track record managing large capital projects across multiple sites and jurisdictions
Strong knowledge of construction delivery methods, building systems, and regulatory requirements
Experience working with EPC firms, developers, or owner-side organizations
Ability to manage complex budgets, schedules, and contractor relationships
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
