GST is seeking an experienced Senior AV Control System Programmer to lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced control system programming for Crestron, Extron, and related AV platforms. In this senior‑level role, you will architect and implement complex control solutions, develop custom modules and device drivers, and guide teams through system commissioning and integration.

This position blends hands‑on technical excellence, leadership, and client-facing collaboration. You'll work on high‑profile projects, contribute to AV system architecture, and mentor junior programmers while ensuring smooth delivery of world‑class AV experiences.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Requirements

• Review and interpret AV system drawings, signal flow diagrams, and technical documentation
• Gather, analyze, and document system and programming requirements
• Participate in AV architecture reviews and contribute to system design strategy

Programming & Development

• Develop custom modules, device drivers, UI designs, and control logic
• Program Crestron/AMX/Extron systems for enterprise‑level AV environments
• Create technical standards, programming templates, and process documentation
• Program and configure DSP platforms (Q‑Sys, Biamp, BSS, etc.)
• Utilize AV and embedded programming languages as required

Testing, Commissioning & Troubleshooting

• Upload, download, and validate control code across embedded systems
• Perform in‑house QA testing and simulation
• Conduct on‑site and remote commissioning, system tuning, and acceptance testing
• Troubleshoot integrated systems, resolving hardware and software issues
• Support engineering teams, manufacturers, and clients with technical solutions

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with engineers, PMs, technicians, and client stakeholders
• Clearly communicate technical updates and project status
• Mentor junior programmers and contribute to team skill development

Additional Requirements

• Travel to job sites as needed
• Use diagnostic, calibration, and testing tools proficiently
• Maintain strong documentation, accuracy, and professionalism

Qualifications

• Experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, and DSP setup/calibration
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of Crestron or AMX control system programming
• Required certifications:
  • Harman Certified Control Professional (C‑P)
  • Extron GC‑Pro
  • Crestron and AMX programming certifications
• Preferred: CTS or CTS‑D
• Strong problem‑solving and leadership skills
